UPDATE: Two teens arrested in shooting that injured 10-year-old Macon boy
Deputies say the arrests happened after an investigator spotted a stolen vehicle on Houston Avenue.

UPDATE (11/20/25): Two teens have been arrested in connection with an October shooting that injured a 10-year-old boy inside a Macon home.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s office, investigators made the arrests on Tuesday after a Property Division investigator spotted a stolen vehicle in the 3400 block of Houston Avenue. With help from Traffic Division deputies, two suspects were taken into custody at a home. Deputies said the vehicle and key had been reported stolen out of Warner Robins.
Deputies identified the suspects as 19-year-old Trevonta Makell Williams and 18-year-old Obrien Jaylon Leonard. Both were taken to Investigations headquarters.
Violent Crimes investigators later linked the two to the October 26 shooting that injured a 10-year-old boy on Mathis Street.
According to the sheriff’s office, both suspects were inside a vehicle reported stolen out of Bibb County during the shooting.
Leonard is charged with felony theft by taking, felony theft by receiving stolen property and aggravated assault. Williams is charged with probation violation, two counts of felony theft by receiving stolen property and aggravated assault. Both were denied bond.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/ WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest in connection with an aggravated assault investigation.
Deputies responded just after 9 a.m. on October 26 to the 3900 block of Mathis Street after reports of shots fired into a residence.
According to the sheriff’s office, a 10-year-old boy was injured when a bullet entered the home and struck him in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
