UPDATE: Macon teen arrested in connection with fatal shooting at Lokchapee Landing
Colbert was transported from Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Unit to the Bibb County Jail and is being held without bond.
(UPDATE: 7/22) The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Brian Latrell Colbert Jr. in connection with the death of 50-year-old Brian Matthew Brown, that occurred on November 26, 2023.
According to a media release, Colbert was arrested just before 5 p.m. at the Dempsey Apartments without incident. Colbert faces a murder charge. He also faces four counts of aggravated assault, one count of criminal damage to property and one count of cruelty to children in an incident that occurred on December 7, 2023, in the 1800 block of Cedar Ave, where a home was shot at.
Colbert was transported from Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Unit to the Bibb County Jail and is being held without bond.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office wants your help locating 19-year-old Brian Latrell Colbert Jr., of Macon, in connection with a death investigation, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Colbert is described as being 5’5″ and weighing approximately 120 pounds. He is known to frequent the Pleasant Hill and Houston Avenue area of Macon.
