38-year-old woman hospitalized after Tuesday night shooting in Macon

Deputies say a 38-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound on Shirley Court and taken to a hospital.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is in stable condition after being shot Tuesday night in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the call came into the Macon-Bibb E911 Center at 7:49 p.m. reporting a shooting in the 5000 block of Shirley Court. That’s in a neighborhood near Mercer University Drive.

When deputies got there, they say they found a 38-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. Paramedics treated her at the scene before taking her to a hospital.

According to medical staff, the woman is in stable condition.

The sheriff’s office says its Criminal Investigation Division is investigating.
