Macon shooting sends 46-year-old woman to hospital

Bibb deputies say the 46-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound Monday morning in the 5400 block of Houston Road.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 46-year-old woman is in critical condition after a shooting Monday morning on Houston Road, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the shooting happened just before 7 a.m. in the 5400 block of Houston Road. They responded after receiving reports of a person shot.

When deputies got there, they found a 46-year-old woman with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics took her to a local hospital.

Medical staff listed her in critical condition, according to deputies.

The sheriff’s office says the shooting remains under investigation.
