Macon Rescue Mission hosts its annual Thanksgiving feast
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An annual tradition continued in middle Georgia Thursday morning.
The Macon Rescue Mission hosted its Annual Thanksgiving Feast. Many families got the chance to sit down with loved ones and celebrate the holiday.
Over 800 meals were delivered to the elderly and disabled home bound residents across middle Georgia.
The doors to the chapel was also open as many received a word about the meaning of Thanksgiving. organizers say this is a way to spread love to thy neighbor.
Pat Chastain, CEO of the Macon Rescue Mission says, “Not only do we serve meals, we want to make sure that every man and woman that does gets a meal, gets the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Over 200 volunteers helped feed over 1500 families.
