Macon Red Cross Helps Aid Philippines Typhoon Victims
The Philippines faces tragic devastation after Typhoon Haiyan ripped through the country this weekend.
The death toll is in the thousands as of today, and while the people in the Philippines begin to recover,
the American Red Cross here in Macon is doing its part to help the process.
Tracy Kight, the executive director of the local chapter in Macon, says the best way to help is to send money.
“Their need is of course fundraising. This is a very large disaster. This is going to be a very long relief effort, so at a local level, we are fundraising for this specific international disaster.”
There are several ways to give no matter what you have to offer, including mailing money to the Macon chapter or by going online.
