Macon Policeman Resigns After Fight with Other Officer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A case of road rage leads to a fight between two Macon police officers early on the morning of July 28th.

MPD says Officer Derek Uebel was responding to the burglary call at a Family Dollar on Pio Nono Avenue, when Officer Andrew Gilbert approached him, saying Uebel almost ran him off the road. That led to a brawl.

Officer Gilbert has since resigned from the department and internal affairs is investigating.
