MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Mullet Pageant is back this Saturday, July 12, at The Hummingbird Stage & Taproom, combining live music, creative hairstyles and community fundraising for those battling cancer.

According to organizers and Facebook event page from The Hummingbird Stage & Taproom, the event will be hosted by country music artist Trey Lewis and will feature entertainment by Macy Nicole. One of the highlights will be a public haircut by local DJ Dylan “Pickles” Morris, who plans to cut off four years of hair growth on stage to donate to Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit providing hair replacements for children with medical hair loss.

The event is a fundraiser for local cancer support. Attendees are encouraged to register and compete in the mullet pageant. Men, women and even fake mullets are welcome.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with the show starting at 5 p.m. Entry is $15 and the event is limited to guests 18 and older. Later in the evening, the venue will feature additional live music from Thomas Guest at 9:30 p.m.
