Macon Mayhem expect sellout crowd for School Day Game Thursday; Ocmulgee River Monsters rebrand happening this weekend
More than 6,000 fans are expected for the morning matchup against Pensacola at the Macon Centreplex Coliseum.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Macon Mayhem expect a sellout crowd Thursday for their second annual School Day Game at the Macon Centreplex Coliseum.
Team officials say more than 6,000 fans are expected for the 10:30 a.m. matchup against the Pensacola Ice Flyers.
The Mayhem enter the game with a 19-17-3 record and sit eighth in the SPHL standings. Macon is coming off back-to-back wins in Huntsville on February 20 and 21.
According to SPHL attendance figures, the Mayhem average about 2,130 fans per home game, currently the lowest average in the 10-team league.
The Mayhem stay home this weekend for Friday and Saturday games against Fayetteville, when the team will again rebrand as the Ocmulgee River Monsters.
