Macon man shot by an unknown suspect while getting into his car

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is shot by an unknown suspect as he was getting into his parked car around 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Poplar Street near Second Street.

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release stated a witness claimed that 24-year-old Jarvin Jackson of Macon was struck by a bullet on the right side of his abdomen as he entered his vehicle.

Jackson was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia and is listed in critical but stable condition.

Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses and evidence in hopes of identifying the shooter.
