MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A drug raid on Key Court this week led to two arrests and law enforcement seizing more than $700,000 worth of drugs, cash, weapons and vehicles.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the search warrant was executed on Wednesday by the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the Gang Unit, Patrol Division and the FBI. The warrant targeted a home in the 700 block of Key Court. Key Court is off Key Street between Mercer University Drive and Anthony Road.

According to the release, investigators seized more than 50 pounds of marijuana, four pounds of cocaine, 39 grams of crack cocaine, seven grams of ecstasy and $5,630 in cash. Deputies say they also confiscated several weapons, including a Glock 22 .40-caliber handgun, a Glock 32 .357-caliber handgun, an FN 510 10mm handgun, a Smith & Wesson M&P .45-caliber handgun, an Anderson Arms .300 Blackout rifle, and multiple high-capacity magazines, including a 50-round drum.

Deputies say they also seized a 1980 Ford F-150, a 2024 Honda Accord and a 2022 Kia K5.

The sheriff’s office listed the estimated value of the seizures as:

• Vehicles: $65,000
• Firearms: $2,500
• Cash: $5,630
• Drugs (street value): $639,600
• Total: $712,630

Two people were taken into custody during the search. Jimmie Lee Jones and Kinjarra Bonner were arrested and taken to the Bibb County Jail. Both are charged with trafficking marijuana, trafficking cocaine, trafficking crack cocaine, possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute and five counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The sheriff’s office said both were denied bond.

“This is a significant seizure of illegal drugs, particularly in the amounts of cocaine and ecstasy,” Sheriff David Davis said. “The fact that these dangerous drugs and potentially dangerous weapons were taken off the streets have helped make our community safer and have quite possibly saved innocent lives.”
