Macon I-75 accident sends one to hospital

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two cars hit each other on I-75 near Mercer University Drive Sunday afternoon.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just after 6:30 p.m.

51-year-old Arno Quon was driving in the middle lane.

66-year-old Edward Boland was driving behind him.

He came up behind Quon and tried to change lanes, but he hit him.

Boland kept going and hit the guardrail and then the cement divider.

The crash ejected Boland from the passenger side of his suburban.

He was taken to Medical Center, Navicent Health and is in critical condition.

EMTs looked at Quon and his passengers, but they did not need to go to the hospital.
