Macon man dies in house fire

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A house fire leaves one man dead Monday morning in Macon.

The Bibb County Coroner says it happened on Long Acre Drive.

40-year-old Walter Simmons III was killed.

His father, Walter Simmons Jr., made it out of the home.

Firefighters are investigating what started the fire.
