Deputies arrest man after reported armed home invasion in Macon
The sheriff’s office says the victim was not injured and stolen property was recovered.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Macon man has been arrested in connection with a home invasion reported Thursday afternoon on Riverside Drive, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the 3800 block of Riverside Drive just after 2 p.m. after a victim reported returning home from walking his dog and finding an unknown man inside the home.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was armed with a firearm and confronted the victim. Deputies say the suspect took several items from the home, including the victim’s phone, before running away. The victim was not injured.
The sheriff’s office said a Criminal Investigations Division investigator spotted the suspect shortly afterward near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Northside Drive. Deputies took him into custody there and recovered the victim’s property.
Deputies identified the suspect as 22-year-old Ricardo Jamal Martin of Macon.
Martin was taken to the Bibb County Jail. He’s charged with burglary, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and false imprisonment, the sheriff’s office said. He is being held without bond.
