Man shot near Harrison Road Walmart bus stop in Macon

Deputies say the victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition as investigators work to determine what led to the shooting.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 48-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon near the Harrison Road Walmart bus stop in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

In an email, the sheriff’s office said the call came into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center around 12:38 p.m. Deputies found the man at the scene with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics took him to a medical facility, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators are following leads to determine what led up to the shooting.
