Macon Habitat for Humanity partnering with Lowe’s to weatherize senior homes
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteers are making improvements to 10 senior homes in Lynmore Estates tomorrow morning.
“We have been so excited and inspired by the residents, they want this neighborhood built up and we are so happy and pleased to partner with them,” Dr. Sundra Woodford said. She’s the Community Relations Manager for Macon Habitat.
Volunteers will weatherize 10 of the senior’s homes in the neighborhood to the make the homes more energy efficient and help the homeowners reduce their energy costs.
Lowe’s awarded Macon Habitat with a $66,792 grant to complete the project.
Woodford is asking for more volunteers. If you’re interested, meet at Southside Community Church on Roy Ave.
