Macon Fire Displaces 6

A house fire in Macon leaves 6 people homeless. According to Assistant Fire Chief. Cliff Rushin, the Sunday morning fire started in the kitchen at a boarding house on Lamar Street.

The blaze quickly shot up the walls and went into the attic. The fire engulfed the roof, but luckily only two of the tenants were home at the time and both escaped.

One of the tenants was taken to the hospital and is being treated for smoke inhalation, but is expected to be fine.
