Deputies: Drug raid in Macon reveals ecstasy, firearm near school; 2 arrested
Raid on Patterson Street home results in seizure of drugs, weapon; homeowner and woman charged

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Response Team (S.R.T.), Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U.), and S.W.A.T. Team recently executed a narcotics search warrant at a known “Bootleg” residence on Patterson Street that led to the discovery of ecstasy and a loaded firearm, resulting in two arrests.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies found a bag of ecstasy and a loaded 357 Magnum during the search. Jail records show the homeowner, Tarreco Walden, was booked on Thursday, January 25. He faces multiple charges, including possession of a Schedule I drug, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. The home is located near Miller Fine Arts Middle School.
Deputies say a woman at the scene, Tasha Thomas, was arrested for obstructing a law enforcement officer after ignoring repeated commands to remain inside her home until the area was secured.
