Two arrested in Macon County drug and firearm investigation
Law enforcement seized meth, crack cocaine, marijuana, firearms and cash during a joint drug and gang operation in unincorporated Macon County.

OGLETHORPE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A multi-agency investigation led to two arrests in the unincorporated Reynolds area of Macon County, according to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office.
In a news release Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Region 13 and Region 3 offices coordinated with the Southwest Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the West Georgia Gang Task Force to serve multiple search warrants. The Macon County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the operation, which was also supported by the Georgia Department of Corrections K9 Unit, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol.
Deputies said the investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately $7,500 in cash, 29 ounces of methamphetamine, 31 grams of crack cocaine, three pounds of marijuana, seven firearms, three cell phones and other items.
“This type of collaboration is vital to keeping our communities safe,” Sheriff Carlos Felton said in the release. “It demonstrates the strength and impact of partnerships between local and state law enforcement.”
The names of those arrested were not released.
