Macon Centreplex adding equipment to improve cell service

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Centreplex is adding technology and equipment that’ll give show-goers better cell service.

The venue entered an agreement with a wireless company to make the upgrades. David Aiello, General Manager for Spectra and the Macon City Auditorium and Coliseum says when shows are going on, the Centreplex lacks good cell service. He’s excited for the changes.

“It’s just another service that we can add, it also gives us more exposure because everyone wants to tweet photos and put stuff on Instagram so it allows people to tell their story,’ Aiello said.

The new equipment will be installed in about a month.
