Macon-Bibb voters hope Peake will serve fifth term in State House District 141

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Allen Peake will add a fifth consecutive term in Georgia House District 141 after Tuesday night’s election.

Peake beat out Brad Moriarty for the spot.

Peake watched the results come in at his home.

Peake says his supporters and staff played a huge role in the win.

His main goal will be to fight for medical cannabis next session.

Moriarty said he learned quite a bit from his campaign run, and thinks he may run again next election.

“I really enjoyed the whole election process, all the debates, being on TV and getting to meet a lot of good people knocking on people’s doors, walking around,” said Moriarty. “I spent the whole day outside today holding my signs up, waving to people, it was a really good experience and I could see myself doing it again.”

Peake said without his staff, he could not have won the election.
