Macon-Bibb’s Memorial Park Rec Center pool to open on Thursday, June 20

The Memorial Park Recreation Center pool, located at 2465 Second Street, will open on Thursday, June 20 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Memorial Park Recreation Center pool, located at 2465 Second Street, will open on Thursday, June 20 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

According to a Macon-Bibb news release, the pool joins others already open at Booker T. Washington Community Center (401 Monroe Street), Delores A. Brooks Recreation Center (3326 Ocmulgee East Boulevard), Frank Johnson Recreation Center (2227 Mercer University Drive) and South Bibb Recreation Center (7035 Houston Road).

All pools will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in recognition of Juneteenth.

Normal pool hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There’s a $1 entry free.

Splash pads at Daisy Park (1021 Daisy Park), Rosa Jackson Recreation Center (1211 Maynard Street), Freedom Park (3301 Roff Avenue) and South Bibb Recreation Center are open. Crews are still working on opening the pad at Filmore Thomas Park.
