Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority receives accreditation
It's one of 67 organizations designated as an Accredited Economic Development Organization.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)— The Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority is now accredited by the Economic Development Council.
It’s one of 67 organizations designated as an Accredited Economic Development Organization. The AEDO program is a peer review process of economic development organizations.
There was a documentation review and onsite visit. The Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority says the accreditation is a way to let stakeholders and customers know they’re in good hands.
“To have the International Economic Development Council come in and take a peak into every aspect of our organization. Interviewing staff, interviewing the board, interviewing partner agencies to come back with accreditation is validation for us,” said Stephen Adams, Executive Director of the Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority.
The accreditation lasts three years. The Industrial Authority can then apply for reaccreditation to maintain its AEDO status.
