Macon-Bibb District 9 Commissioner addresses blight, future projects
A combination of $9,000,000 has been dispersed between nine commissioners, each receiving $1,000,000.
Al Tillman joins 41NBC’s Taylor Terrell for a live interview as they discuss blight rehabilitation.
Tillman says 70 percent of the money will cover residential improvements, 25 percent for commercial and 5 percent will create more recreational facilities or improve the current projects.
“The goal is to create more jobs, and bring business back to this area,” says Tillman.
Currently, more improvement plans are being made between all commissioners.
Each leader also has the option to use their funds toward other district projects.
