Macon-Bibb County extends pool and splash pad season
The Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department is extending the pool and splash pad season as hot weather continues across Middle Georgia.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department is extending the pool and splash pad season as hot weather continues across Middle Georgia.

According to a county news release, the pools at Delores A. Brooks Recreation Center, Frank Johnson Recreation Center and South Bibb Recreation Center will remain open every Saturday throughout August. Splash pads at Daisy Park, Rosa Jackson Recreation Center, Freedom Park and South Bibb Recreation Center will also be open every Saturday this month.
“Since we’re still dealing with hot weather, we want to give families more opportunities to enjoy our pools and splash pads,” Recreation Department Assistant Director Armand Burnett said. “We’re excited to offer this availability to our community!”

Pools and splash pads will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays throughout August. Pool entry costs $1.
