Macon-Bibb Commissioners announce phase two of Central City Skate Park
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon skaters and skateboarders will soon have a new place to enjoy their hobbies.
Macon-Bibb County Commissioners and the Recreation Department announced the second phase of the Central City Skate Park.
It includes a competition size bowl. $550,000 from SPLOST is funding the project. Commissioner Larry Schlesinger says the project will bring competitions.
“Now, with so many skateboarders of all different ages, a facility like this is just as useful as a football field or softball field,” he said.
The project will be complete by this November.
