Macon-Bibb board of health holding first ever ‘dangerous dog’ appeal hearing

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb County Board of Health is putting on its first ever appeal hearing about dangerous dogs in the area.

The department is planning the hearing after Macon attorney Veronica Brinson’s dogs were deemed dangerous by the animal welfare department.

In December, Brinson’s three mixed breed dogs were believed to have attacked a couple and killed their dog.

The health department’s administrator says it’s the first time a hearing like this has been planned because of a new ordinance from the county government.

The hearing is set for March 4th at 4:30.
