UPDATE: Two charged in Lumber City homicide of Dwayne Clark
The GBI says David Walker and Sharonda Guyton face murder and assault charges after Clark was found dead in his home last month.

UPDATE (9/4/25): Two people have been charged in the homicide of Dwayne Clark, who was found shot to death inside his Lumber City home last month.
According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), agents charged 21-year-old David Walker of Hawkinsville and 19-year-old Sharonda Guyton of Eastman, on Tuesday, September 3 with felony murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
The GBI said Walker and Guyton were already in custody on unrelated charges.
On Wednesday, 41NBC reported the duo were charged in connection with an armed robbery at an Eastman convenience store last month.

LUMBER CITY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is looking into the homicide of a 42-year-old man who was found dead inside his Lumber City home Monday night.
According to a news release from the GBI, Dwayne Clark of Lumber City was found by a relative just before 9 p.m. at a home on South Church Street. Investigators say Clark had been shot multiple times.
The Lumber City Police Department responded to the scene and requested GBI assistance.
Telfair County Sheriff Sim Davidson said in an email to 41NBC that his agency was only there in a supportive role.
The GBI said agents are conducting interviews, and Clark’s body will be sent to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Pooler for an autopsy. No arrests have been made.
