Local cafe provides vegan bags for families in need

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Southern Vegan Soul Cafe in Macon will provide vegan option bags for families in need.

They’ll hang out bags at their location on Vineville Avenue, December 29 at 5:30 p.m.

Jessica Mack — owner of the cafe — says she wants to provide a healthier option for anyone wanting to change their lifestyle and educate others on veganism.

“When we first started, no one really knew what vegan was,” said Mack. “So it’s all about educating the community and let them know that. That’s what they need because a lot of people know they want a change but not really sure how to.”

Southern Vegan Soul Cafe has not opened yet, but the owner says they hope to open in January.
