Learn what it takes to join the Air National Guard at the Georgia National Fair

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – There is more than fun rides, food, and games at the Georgia National Fair in Perry.

Fair-goers can experience a day in the life of an Air National Guard member. You can find out what it takes to serve our state and country while participating in physical and virtual training. Organizers hope the interactive simulator will educate the community.

“Perhaps people don’t know or understand that we have so much opportunity, one of 200 different careers. Everything from weathermen, to doctor, lawyer, nurse, you could be an engineer even,” Kris Hightower, the Air National Guard Mobile Experience tour coordinator said.

The Air National Guard Mobile Experience is free. It is going on through the weekend until the end of the fair.

The last day of the Georgia National Fair is Sunday. Gates are open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. General admission is $10. Ride tickets also start at $10.
