Lazy Dog Growler opens in Macon this weekend

The Lazy Dog Growler is your one-stop shop to enjoy a pint, take some beer home with you, or learn how to make it yourself. With 64 beers on tap and more than 500 bottles on the shelves, there is something for everyone.

Co-owner Jeff Kressin says he is happy to be a part of the growing downtown community.

“We hope that the Macon plan for expansion, growth, and revitalization is going to explode,” Kressin said. “I hope we’re a big part of that.”

Kressin says the business could not have opened without the recent passing of the growler ordinance, which allows customers to drink beer on site. He is thankful for the hard work of the mayor and local lawmakers.

Lazy Dog Growler opens to the public on Saturday. It is located on the corner of Poplar and First Streets.
