SANDERSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Lawrenceville man was arrested on Sunday after Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies say he was caught in a restricted area behind Washington State Prison.
A Washington County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post says the prison warden notified the sheriff’s office about the vehicle and said a man had been seen fleeing from the vehicle and running into a wooded area.
Deputies then worked with Department of Corrections personnel to locate the man, identified as 26-year-old Willie Hall, and arrested him.
Hall is charged with trading with inmates, crossing guard lines and criminal trespass.
