Law firm hosts Back 2 School Bash

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – School bells will be ringing again soon.

A local lawyer is doing what he can to give students the necessary tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

More than 2,000 people turned out for attorney Forrest B. Johnson and Associates’ “Back 2 School Bash” at the Buck Melton Center Saturday.

Festivities included bounce houses, games and free food.

Johnson says he gave away book bags to help students get a head start on getting a good education.

“This is a function that we plan to give every year,” says Johnson. “We’ll provide scholarship opportunities by way of educational materials to the children.”

Johnson greeted students and their parents as they walked through a room lined with nearly 1,300 book bags filled with school supplies.
