Law Enforcement Warns Parents About Video Girl Barbie
Mattel’s Video Girl Barbie is one of the hottest toys this holiday season, and it’s raising some controversy.
“It’s very important of the parents to talk to their children about this particular toy, and what its capabilities are,” says Chief Deputy David Davis.
Barbie’s cool new accessory is a video camera in the doll’s necklace. It records up to 30 minutes of video, and then kids can upload that video to a computer. The doll retails fro $44 and is sold out at several stores in Middle Georgia.
Law enforcement is warning parents about the possibility of Barbie’s new gadget acting as a tool for predators., because of it video taping ability.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office advices parents to monitor their children when they have access to devices that send or record images.
