Law enforcement cracks down on drunk driving during holidays

ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Operation Zero Tolerance is a campaign to ensure everyone stays safe on the road this holiday season.

The DUI enforcement campaign begins on December 12th and officials say if you’re over the limit, you’re under arrest. No excuses. No warnings.

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety explains Operation Zero Tolerance falls in conjunction with the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over initiative.

Officials report more than 40-thousand crashes and 160 fatalities in Georgia during the holiday season (Nov 30 – Dec 31) last year.
