Bibb deputies searching for man last seen after February jail release

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says Lavar James was last seen February 19 after being released from the Bibb County Jail.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Bibb County deputies are asking for help finding a 47-year-old man who they say was last seen in February.

The sheriff’s office said in a news release Thursday that Lavar James was reported missing May 18.

According to the sheriff’s office, James was last seen February 19 after he was released from the Bibb County Jail and did not report to his probation officer.

James is described as being between 5 feet, 10 inches and 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds.

James also has a scar on the left side of his cheek, according to the sheriff’s office.
