Investigation underway after teen killed, two injured in Laurens County shooting

Deputies say a 17-year-old died at the scene and two others were hospitalized with injuries.

EAST DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 17-year-old from Wrightsville was killed and two other people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Laurens County.

According to the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of Kaitlyn Court during the early morning hours of December 7 in reference to multiple people being shot. When deputies arrived, they found 17-year-old Javian Smith dead the scene. Two other people were also shot and were taken to Fairview Park Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
