Lake Sinclair smokestack demolition rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Power’s demolition of the landmark Lake Sinclair smokestack has been moved to Saturday, October 15.
According to Georgia Powers spokesperson John Kraft, the 1,000-foot smokestack, a part of the Harllee Branch Power Plant for nearly 40 years, will now come down on Sunday, sometime between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The smokestack demolition was postponed last weekend because of weather conditions related to Hurricane Matthew.
