Kroger ’rounds up’ donations for victims of Hurricane Matthew

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Hurricane Matthew has passed through Georgia already, but Kroger wants to help victims recover.

The grocery store calls it “The Round Up.”

Each time you buy your groceries, you have the option of rounding up to the next dollar.

The change goes straight to the red cross, which is helping people along the east coast recover.

Evans Brown is the store manager at the Kroger on North Avenue in Macon.

“Well there glad to help out because we’ve done a round up before because we’ve had disasters in the area before,” said Brown. “Customers are just as passionate about it as Kroger is and Kroger is very passionate about it. They believe in helping when the time comes so we give our customers the opportunity to give back and help also with The Round Up.”

If you want to donate more than just your change, you can do that as well.

Just visit any Kroger location.
