7-year-old among three injured in Macon shooting

Shooting happened just after midnight in the 700 block of Key Street

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Three people, including a 7-year-old child, were shot early Sunday morning in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened in the 700 block of Key Street and was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 12:04 a.m.

Deputies responding to the scene found an 18-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 7-year-old boy with gunshot wounds.

Paramedics treated the victims at the scene before taking them to a hospital. Medical staff say all three victims are listed in stable condition.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division’s Violent Crime Unit is investigating the shooting.
