Kennedy will focus on job creation, protecting agribusiness if elected to senate district 18
The Republican candidate for district 18 says his legal background is what makes him an ideal candidate. Kennedy says the skill set that comes with practicing law will help him write and pass laws, while at the same time think of those unintended consequences legislation might have on his constituents.
Growing up in a farming community, Kennedy wants to get rid of and protect the agribusiness from heavy regulation. He points to that as a reason why people have difficulty starting up and/or maintaining businesses.
The main need in district 18, according to the Macon attorney, is jobs. He plans to encourage a pro-business environment in the state capital if elected.
Kennedy also talked about vetting and discussing new regulation that could impact his constituents, with his constituents. He noted that being in touch with the voters is important to him.
