KWRB says the funds will be used to buy supplies, including trash bags, buckets, litter grabbers, vests, gloves and water for volunteers during the 2024 Great American Cleanup (GAC) events.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Keep Warner Robins Beautiful (KWRB) announced Friday its selection as a recipient of a micro grant totaling $3,635 from the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation.
KWRB says the funds will be used to buy supplies, including trash bags, buckets, litter grabbers, vests, gloves and water for volunteers during the 2024 Great American Cleanup (GAC) events.
The GAC, organized by Keep America Beautiful, is a nationwide community improvement initiative aimed at encouraging people across the United States to participate in local projects to beautify and enhance their communities. It happens each year over a three-month period in the spring.
Nationwide, the GAC engages more than 500,000 volunteers and participants whose work returns more than $100 million in measurable benefits across thousands of participating communities, according to Keep America Beautiful’s website.
“This generous funding will empower our citizens to actively participate in preserving the beauty of our community,” Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said. “Together, we can make a lasting impact, fostering a sense of pride and environmental responsibility. Let’s join hands to ensure a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant Warner Robins for generations to come.”
