Child hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in Warner Robins

Police say a child was hit by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon on Iverness Avenue. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A juvenile was injured Wednesday afternoon when a vehicle struck them on Iverness Avenue, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.

It happened around 4:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Iverness Avenue, the city said in a news release.

The child was taken by EMS to the Children’s Hospital of Macon for treatment, according to the news release.

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, which is active and ongoing.

The Warner Robins Police Department’s Traffic Section is handling the investigation.
