Jones County Sheriff’s Office investigating family pet murder
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Jones County Deputies are investigating the murder of a family pet in Macon.
According to an incident report, Officer Travis Douglas responded to a call on Tuesday about a possible animal cruelty case. When he arrived, he spoke to Kristy Pruitt, the owner of the dog named “Boss.”
Officer Douglas said Pruitt told him her son found the dog dead in the drive way of a neighbor’s home. Officer Douglas noticed the dog was cut and had his eyeballs removed. He also noticed the body was severely decomposed.
The incident report says neighbors remember Boss as a friendly dog.
The investigation is still ongoing.
