Jones County Schools superintendent to serve through June 30
Charles Lundy will continue leading Jones County Schools through June 30 as the board works with the Georgia School Boards Association to find a replacement.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Jones County Schools Superintendent Charles Lundy will continue serving in his role until June 30, according to a statement provided to 41NBC by the school system.
The statement said the Board of Education plans to use the Georgia School Boards Association to assist with its search for a new superintendent. Clinton Burston is scheduled to serve as deputy superintendent from May 1 through June 30. According to the school system, if the Board’s search is not complete by June 30, Burston is scheduled to serve as interim superintendent.
Further information about Burston’s background was not immediately provided. The school system’s website lists him as the accountability and school improvement director.
