JONES COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Jones County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a man who has been reported missing.

According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office, William Jay Drye was last seen on Sunday, September 7 “near Largo Drive.” Deputies say he’s about 6 feet tall, about 230 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Jones County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 986-3489.

The sheriff’s office encouraged the public to share its post to “help bring William Drye home,” the post said.

Earlier Tuesday, the sheriff’s office announced that Drye’s estranged wife, Amanda Drye, was arrested and charged with first-degree arson after deputies said she admitted to setting her home on fire on Largo Drive. Investigators said William Drye’s disappearance is not connected to the fire.
