GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Jones County High School will dismiss early on Friday, November 22, to accommodate the large number of students and staff expected to travel to Atlanta for the football team’s second round playoff game against Marist.

The school day will follow a normal schedule for first through fourth periods, ending officially at 11:38 a.m., according to a post on the Jones County High School Facebook page. Students will have the option to pick up lunch in the cafeteria before heading to their buses or cars. The first wave of buses is set to depart at approximately 11:48 a.m.

“Thank you for your support and flexibility and Go Hounds!” the school said in its announcement.

The Greyhounds beat East Forsyth last Friday night to advance to the second round of the playoffs against Marist. Friday’s game against Marist, which beat Warner Robins Friday, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Get tickets here.
