Jones County Driver Dies after Car Overturns in a Pond

GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One man is dead and four others are injured after a car overturned in a pond in Jones County on Saturday night.

According to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Robert Griner was driving in a wooded area near Folendor Road when his Chevrolet truck plunged into a pond.

The four passengers were transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia and Griner was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officials removed the truck on Sunday morning.
