Deputies catch suspect inside Jones County business during burglary
Deputies say the suspect was found inside the business just after midnight.

JONES COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man is facing charges after deputies say they caught him inside a Jones County business during a burglary in progress early Sunday morning.
According to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just after midnight January 18 to Southeast Outdoor Solutions on Georgia Highway 49 after a report of a burglary with the suspect still inside the building. Deputies found the front door shattered and began clearing the business.
Investigators say deputies heard movement toward the rear of the building and encountered a man matching the suspect seen on security footage. He was taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Marty Morgan. Deputies say he was wearing a company jacket taken from inside the business.
Morgan was taken to the Jones County Jail. He’s charged with criminal damage to property in the second degree and misdemeanor theft by taking.
