James Hagins beginning his 20th season at Wilkinson County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s been 20 years for head coach James Hagins at the helm of the Wilkinson County Warriors, with an overall record of 118-92-2. For 2015, his team is coming off consecutive losing seasons, finishing 4-6 in 2014 and 2-3 in their region.

The offense averaged per game just a little over 22 points. Coach Hagins says he has a ton of confidence in his sophomore quarterback, Tyler Grable, as well as his running back Akeem Jackson, whom rushed for almost 1000 yards in 2014.

Defensively, the Warriors could stand for some improvement after allowing nearly 30 points a game last season. The entire secondary will be returning with another year of experience under their belts.

The first game for the Warriors will be at Central on August 28th, and their home opener will be on September 4th against Washington-Wilkes.
